“Playlist not loading” covers several different failures that look identical on screen. Identify which one you have before changing settings at random.

Zero channels, no error

The file downloaded but parsed to nothing. Usually the URL returns an HTML error page rather than M3U text. Open it in a browser: a real playlist starts with #EXTM3U. Anything else is not a playlist, whatever the extension says.

“Failed to load playlist”

TiviMate could not reach the host. Check in this order:

  • Is the device online at all? Open any other app.
  • Is a VPN or private DNS intercepting the request? Disable it and retry.
  • Did you copy the URL with a trailing space? Retype the last few characters.

Loads once, then fails

Most providers cap concurrent connections. If the same credentials are open on another device, the second one is refused. Close the other session, wait a minute for the slot to release, then retry.

Loads on Wi-Fi, not on mobile data

Some networks block the ports used for playlist delivery. This is a network policy issue, not an app bug — test on a different connection to confirm before contacting anyone.

Adding the playlist correctly

Use Add playlist → Enter URL and paste the full address including http:// or https://. Typing a long URL with a TV remote is where most errors come from; use the phone-keyboard feature of your remote app if you have one.

When it is the service

Playlists that drop at the same time every evening point at an overloaded provider rather than your setup. A stable TiviMate Premium plan holds the connection through peak hours. If channels load but stutter, see the buffering fixes; if the guide is the problem, see EPG troubleshooting.
